SCG Program Common Functions and Basic Information

This area of the tutorial focuses on functions that are common to all the programs distributed by SCG.  While one particular program may be used to display the screen shots of the function, the function itself is the same regardless of what program is running. 

There are 4 areas common to all the programs distributed by SCG.  These are the Menu Bar Area, Tool Bar Area, Work Area, and Status Area.  The Menu Bar Area contains drop down menus to perform the functions of the programs.  The Tool Bar Area contains buttons for the most common functions of the program.  This is provided for convenience.  Nearly all the functions on the tool bar have corresponding menu options.  The Status Area is used to display information relating to the current action the program is performing as well as general information derived from the information that has been entered into the program.  In the example above it displays information about the total number and value of bids in the program.
